Islands of Brilliance provides unique learning and social engagement opportunities for neurodiverse students. Programming is rooted in art, design and STEM-based curriculum, helping children and young adults on the autism spectrum learn valuable technical skills, while practicing critical social and emotional learning competencies in a supported environment. The education team partners with parents, educators and support agencies to identify the appropriate programming mix to meet students’ needs and goals. Islands of Brilliance’s mission is to use creativity, technology, and one-on-one guidance, to positively change self-perceptions and broaden community views of those on the autism spectrum as people with capabilities—not disabilities.
